Before you leave, please fill out Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Search and Rescue - Hiking Plan sheet and provide to a loved one to hold onto just in case something happens to a member of your hiking/camping expedition. Our supporters help us make a difference...
For over half a century the San Dimas Mountain Rescue Team has come to the aid of lost, overdue or injured hikers, victims of cars over the side of the mountain, searched for downed aircraft and performed fire and flood evacuations in our local mountains. We are called upon to conduct information seminars and participate in community events on a regular basis.
Although funded by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for vehicles and life safety equipment, the team and the individual members purchase a significant amount of equipment and gear that is necessary to carry out our mission of saving lives. To an all-volunteer organization like our Team, donations are important to providing the team with access to the latest and best-suited equipment and training available. ![]() |
